Not all probiotics are the same. There are three levels of probiotic identification starting with the Genus name (such as Lactobacillus), followed by a species name (such as paracasei) and lastly a strain name (such as GMNL-133).
A strain gives the probiotic its specific function, making it more effective at supporting the body in a specific way. Strain names are important as clinical studies found on one strain cannot be applied to another strain. This means that some strains are stronger than other, even though they may share the same genus and species name. For example, GMNL-133 is different from GMNL-32 though they may both share the same genus and species name – Lactobacillus Paracasei.

No, LB-30 does not require refrigeration. The nano-coating technology can effectively protect the probiotics from heat, light and oxygen, ensuring the live bacteria remain at their best condition when stored at room temperature. Always store the product in a cool, dry place and avoid direct sunlight.
Parents can consider letting children aged 3 and above take half a sachet of LB-30 daily which is sufficient for their general well-being.
In general, it is not necessary to consider additional supplements for a young child (e.g. aged 1 to 2) who is still being breastfed. Human breast milk is naturally a good source of lactobacillus and bifidobacterium. However, as every child's need is unique, we recommend consulting a paediatrician to obtain appropriate advice regarding your child’s specific needs.
